Meng 1/9 BMW R18 Classic Plastic Model Kit

The BMW R18 is a cruiser-type motorcycle that was first released in 2020. It was designed with the motif of the R5 that appeared in 1936. The newly developed boxer engine has the largest displacement in BMW Motorrad history at 1801cc, and delivers a maximum output of 67kW (91PS) and 158Nm of torque. The R18 Classic is based on this R18 with improved touring suitability. The front wheel diameter has been increased to 19 inches from 16 inches, the width has been increased by 1cm, saddlebags are standard equipment on the left and right sides of the rear seat, and the shape of the muffler has been changed accordingly, making it a model with improved functionality as a cruiser.

In order to reproduce the details of the boxer engine as much as possible, the cylinder parts of the engine are made with a four-sided slide mold. The emblem parts on both sides of the engine are realistically reproduced with photo-etched parts. The front and rear shock absorbers and steering dampers are movable; the open drive shaft moves in conjunction with the rear wheel. Three paint patterns and corresponding decals are included: Black Storm Metallic, Mars Red Metallic, and Manhattan Metallic Matte. This kit is officially licensed by BMW, too!
