IBG 1/700 HMS Ilex 1942 British I-class destroyer Plastic Model Kit

She was built for the Royal Navy during the 1930s and served in the Mediterranean with the Third Destroyer Flotilla naval formation. In 1941, she formed part of the destroyer screen for the fleet at the Battle of Cape Matapan, and not until 1942 was she re-commissioned with the rest of the year spent conducting convoy duties in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
