The Panzer IV fought during World War II as a central vehicle to the German Army. It was developed into many variations, one of which featured a low fixed battle compartment with a total height of less than two meters mounted to the Panzer IV chassis; a 7.5-caliber gun was also mounted to it. After that, an improved version equipped with a long-barreled 70-caliber 7.5cm gun appeared and was named JagdPz IV/70 (Jagdpanzer IV 70). It was produced from August 1944 to March 1945. Taking advantage of its low silhouette to hide in the shadows, and making good use of the power of its long-barreled 70-caliber cannon to target Allied tanks from a distance, the Jagdpanzer IV continued to fight bravely on the frontlines of various regions until the end of the war.
This model kit from Dragon is of the L/70 (V) Lang equipped with a long-barreled 70-caliber 7.5cm gun, which was produced starting in August 1944. The low, sharp body form is accurately expressed; the upper and lower parts of the vehicle's hull are reproduced with the Zimmerit coating, which was used by the German Army to prevent magnetic mines. An aluminum gun barrel is included, with rifling inside for an enhanced sense of reality. The lower part of the hull also reproduces the details on the sides and underneath. The battle compartment and engine deck on the upper hull also feature a detailed finish; a prefabricated Magic Track and Schulzen parts are included too. Order yours today!
